Our History

Originally founded in 1990 by the Marcus Family Foundation as The Marcus Center at Emory University, in 1999 Georgia Community Support and Solutions spun off into its own organization and is now a leading community-based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.  GCSS provides supports and services throughout greater metro Atlanta counties for children and adults with disabilities; mental health, emotional or substance abuse issues.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of people and their families by providing information, advocacy and support which create choices to participate in the life of the community.
