The Georgia Adult Autism Day Program at GCSS is a program for adults with Autism and severe behavior challenges, that
focuses on community involvement and encourages choice-making in the natural environment. Our unique program is committed to providing specialized support and is designed to meet the developmental needs of program
participants.
The Georgia Adult Autism Day Program will continue where the high school curriculum ends and work towards moving
our individuals from an intense facility based structure to an inclusive community based environment.
Who is eligible?
Individuals must be over the age of 18 and must have a diagnosis of Autism and are experiencing challenges in the
following categories:
- Presents a substantial risk of harm to self and/or others.
- Severely limited skills to cope with the immediate environment.
- Demonstrates lack of judgment and/or impulse to control behavior.
- Demonstrates lack of cognitive/perceptual abilities to manage behaviors.
